Mark Frye, CPA, CGFM

Mr. Frye was an Audit Manager with the Association Services Group of Johnson Lambert & Company, which specialized in providing accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to not-for-profit trade associations. With a diverse background that includes extensive experience with for-profit entities, Mr. Frye is also familiar with large Federal Government entities. Additionally, he has knowledge of Federal and state tax requirements, and since many of his clients receive a substantial amount of Federal funds, he has experience with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133 audit and reporting compliance requirements.

Mr. Frye graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia and previously taught as an adjunct professor at Strayer University in Manassas, Virginia. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and a member of both the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Association of Government Accountants (AGA).

Prior to Johnson Lambert & Company, Mr. Frye was an Audit Supervisor with Feddeman & Company; another local firm dedicated to providing first-class financial management services to not-for-profit trade Associations. While at Feddeman & Company, he managed numerous audits, tax and consulting engagements, including audits of related educational foundations, retirement trust funds, for-profit subsidiaries, partnerships and executive benefits.

Previously, Mr. Frye worked as a Consultant for Booz|Allen|Hamilton and as an Audit Senior for the Naval Audit Service. In these positions, he provided financial auditing and management consulting services to large Federal Government agencies and participated in the first-ever audit of the Department of the Navy’s (DoN) agency-wide financial statements.

His specific assignments included a consulting engagement to re-engineer the Naval Supply System Command’s financial accounting system, which is used to report financial data on the Navy’s enormous supply inventory. Additionally, Mr. Frye completed the first audit of the Naval Air System Command’s financial statements and made numerous recommendations to improve the Navy’s financial reporting of aircraft and air-maintenance support equipment.

Nate Regmi, CPA

Mr. Regmi specializes in providing audit, accounting, tax and consulting services to for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental entities. He takes pride on not only performing thorough audit and assurance work, but also guiding clients towards knowledge, growth and profitability. Mr. Regmi also assists clients with various aspects of their financial reporting and tax compliance requirements. With the diverse client base of the firm, he also has gained extensive knowledge of government contractors, benefit plans, outsourcing companies, corporate and individual tax preparation. His technical expertise spans financial statement audit, review and compilation services, field examinations, agreed-upon procedures, and due diligence. 

Mr. Regmi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA). Mr. Regmi started his career with a small CPA firm where he provided accounting and bookkeeping services to small local businesses. Prior to joining F&Co, he also gained experience in retail industry.

Paul Shakya, CPA

Mr. Shakya specializes in providing audit, accounting, tax and consulting services to for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental entities.  With a diverse background in serving clients in varied industries, he has gained extensive knowledge of government contractors, benefit plans, outsourcing companies, corporate and individual tax preparation. His technical expertise spans financial statement audit, review and compilation services, field examinations, agreed-upon procedures, and due diligence. 

Mr. Shakya started his career with Reznick Group, a nationally recognized CPA firm, where he performed audits of regional banks and real estate companies.  Prior to joining F&Co, he also gained experience in retail industry.  Mr. Shakya has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Westminster College, Missouri.  He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA).

Patrick Clifford

Mr. Clifford is a senior accountant at the firm and specializes in providing financial reporting, accounting, tax, and consulting services. Mr. Clifford graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Penn State University before relocating to the Washington metropolitan area to work for F&Co. His well-rounded accounting expertise allows him to effectively serve clients in various industries, including both for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises. Mr. Clifford also assists clients with various aspects of their tax compliance and other regulatory reporting requirements, and his responsibilities include management of accounting data, payroll services, audit assistance, and communicating financial information to management.

Paul Thompson

Mr. Thompson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bob Jones University and is presently completing his Masters of Science degree in Accounting from Liberty University. Prior to joining F&Co, Mr. Thompson managed several small businesses offering accounting and consulting services. Mr. Thompson specializes in providing audit, accounting, tax, and consulting services to for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental entities. Mr. Thompson also assists clients with various aspects of their financial reporting and tax compliance requirements. Mr. Thompson prides himself in helping clients understand their finances and taxes.

Emily Han

Mrs. Han is senior accountant of the firm. She graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Ulster University (UK) and Dongbei University of Finance & Economics (China). Upon coming to the US, she earned her Master of Accountancy degree from George Washington University. Before joining Frye & Co, Mrs. Han started her career in a national leading CPA firm serving dental and medical practices. Her specialties include tax services for individual, partnerships, S-Corporations, C-Corporations, fiduciary and exempt organizations and accounting services for both for-profit and not-for-profit entities, as well as payroll processing, payroll and other tax filings. Mrs. Han also assist clients with financial reporting and tax compliance.

Harjeet Malhi

Ms. Malhi is a member of the accounting and tax services team at F&Co with five years of experience. She received her undergraduate degree and Master’s Degree in Accounting at Panjab University, Chandigarh (India). She came to US and began working with several CPA firms before joining our team. In this role, Ms. Malhi provides accounting and tax services to clients in various industries, including for-profit, not-for-profit, employee benefit plan, and fiduciary. She has over five years of experience preparing C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Exempt Organization, and Employee Benefit Plan returns. Ms. Malhi also has extensive experience with client compliance reporting, including business license, business property, and incurred cost submission for federal contractors, as well as payroll processing and other tax filings.

Jennifer Frye

Mrs. Frye has been the Office Administrator at the firm for over 10 years.  She brings her specialty of providing professional and organizational support to the Frye & Company team and its clients.  She has a strong base of customer service skills and is well versed in working in a fast-paced environment ensuring that the office is running efficiently.  She is responsible for human relations, payroll, internal accounting and administrative management.
